Our Mission

We use adventure travel and cultural immersion to help children around the world through “hand-up” education. We are currently focused on helping the children of porters and guides in the Mount Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. Join us for our next Safari and Mount Kilimanjaro Expedition as we travel into the African wilderness for the purposes of connecting to the local people and helping their children through educational sponsorship.

Our approach is simple. You safari and climb Mount Kilimanjaro with us. You meet the porters and guides. During the climb we present you with a deep cultural experience unlike any other expedition to the region. After the climb we visit the porters families and their children, often traveling into remote villages. We tour the local schools and hospitals. You meet and work with extraordinary people working to save the children in the region. You learn about the real life of an average African. You can then choose to sponsor any child of your choice and give that child a chance to climb out of poverty. Climb for a Child will have the child tested, get medical check-ups done and have the child placed in an excellent private boarding school. All of your sponsorship dollars goes directly to the school to pay for your child’s educational needs.

We use proven local schools that support internationally accredited curriculum for the children. During the  school year, the children are monitored by our in country volunteers and we keep you up to date on their progress. Assuming that the child does well in school, we ask you to continue sponsorship for the child all the way through graduation of secondary school.

Can you image the day your child graduates? We can, and it will be because of you.

We are Climb for a Child, educating children, one step at a time. Join us.
